Rat on the Ice

Washington Capitals v Philadelphia Flyers, March 10, 1990

Spectrum, Section S Row 15

I dealt in my job with a security guy who had to take Rick Tocchett outside of a bar one night and beat the crap out of him one night recently. Tonite he scored the first goal of the game.
The 1st period was a chippy one with several roughing and fighting penalties.

About a year prior I used to run on the beach in Swampscott, MA in the mornings and would often pass Ken Linseman, who was out walking his dog. Tonight he was back with the Flyers scoring the 2nd goal of the game.

In the 2nd a defenseman who has not become a thorn in the Flyers side just yet scored the Caps first of the game. Scott Stevens took a feed from Dino Ciccarelli and Dale Hunter to pull the Caps within one. The Flyers Mike Bullard broke the tie shortly after to put the home team up by one again.

The third period was all Capitals. Ciccarelli and Rouse each scored to put the Capitals up by one which ended the game with a 4-3 Caps win.

My neighbor, Ken Wregget suffered the loss in the nets.
