NLCS Rematch

Atlanta Braves v Philadelphia Phillies.
June 26, 1994

Veterans Stadium Section 704 Row 17

I never had a thing for the Atlanta Braves, it just looks like it from all the ticket stubs I have gone through. Except for the fact I bartended at the Braves AAA ballpark in the late 80s when many of the hay-day Braves were coming through.
We are a year removed from the Phillies beating the Braves in the NLCS in 6 games. The Phils lost the World Series in 93 to the Blow Jays. Atlanta was still in their prime.
The Braves sent Steve Avery to pitch against Mike Williams for the home team.
A Sunday afternoon affair at The Vet with over 52,000 paid.
The Vet never looked good unless it was full or the game was played in the day. This 52 grand is a good crowd for this characterless bowl.
Former Richmond Braves Dave Justice and Ryan Klesko went long ball along with Darren Daulton for the Fightins. Dutch ended up 3 for 3 for the day.
Reliever Toby Borland was credited with the win for the Phils. His first of the year.
The Phils edged the first place Braves 9-8.
